The TDLR TAS 2012 are construction standards. If you are filing for a building permit, you will need the project registration number provided by registering the project. The basic fee to the state is $175.00 and the project is registered through the internet on the state data base. This number is then part of you building permit application. Projects over $50,000 are required to be registered. Projects less than $50,000 are still required to be built to these standards. Remember, it is a construction law and also a civil rights law for accessibility.
Plans can be sent hard copy, however the preference is electronic in pdf. This saves everyone time, printing costs, mail costs, delivery costs. We then print the required sheets for review and burn a CD for the state file..
Checklist for a Project:
- Complete Project Registration Form
- Scan, Fax or Email to Accessibility Consultants
- Pay Registration Fee (we will register project for you once fee is received)
- Send a complete set of plans via e-mail or mail to Accessibility Consultants. (Electronic PDF is preferred to save time and designer expense.)
- Send proof of Submission if the plans are developed by a licensed architect.
- When received, we will create and invoice for the plan review and Inspection.
- We will have your plan review completed within 48 hours. Reports will be sent via email.
Accessibilty Consultants accepts Visa, MC and Company Checks.
NOTE: If you have a representative that will act on your behalf, such as the designer, you will need to designate that person on the Owner/Agent Form
